Because of its compact size, the Attritor Stirred Vertical Ball Mill Slaker readily fits under the skirt of the lime silo making an additional building to house the mill unnecessary. This results in substantial savings in space and cost.

Dry Flue Gas Desulphurization Quicklime (calcium oxide) is frequently used in medium to small power plants and incinerators for Flue Gas Desulphurization. To increase the neutralization effect and the speed of the chemical reaction, the calcium oxide must be hydrated to change its chemical form to calcium hydroxide. To achieve this a lime slaker must be used.

Wet Flue Gas Desulphurization In power generation and large industrial plants ground calcium carbonate (limestone) is fed into a reactor in a slurry form by atomizers or sprayers to neutralize SOx gases. CHEMCO provides systems for storage of limestone, secondary crushing of the stone, grinding limestone, classifying and regrinding the oversize, and providing a refined limestone slurry of 30% solid with 95% minus 325 mesh.
